Green smoothie

This is a great way to start the day with a glass of raw greens.

antioxidant boost

There are so many variations of this but try to stick to the general rule of not having more than 1/3 of fruit and rest - 2/3 vegetables to limit the sugar content (fruit contains sugar…). I normally use 1/2 apple or 1 kiwi or only vegetable and use frozen green peas as it makes it a bit sweeter.

Prep time: 5 min

Servings: 1-2 persons

You need:
Any leafy greens - preferable organic - fresh spinach, watercress, kale, ruccola, brocolli, fresh parsley

Veg: 1/2-1 selleri, 1/2-1 avocado (makes it more creamy), piece of fresh ginger, frozen peas or edamame beans

1 squeeze of fresh lemon juice (or from high-quality concentrate)

Filtered water

Fruit - 1 kiwi (gives your daily dose of Vit-C) or 1/2 apple

1-2 spoons MCT oil or avocado oil

1 spoon of flaxseeds or chia seeds

Do this:

Mix everything in a blender until smooth.

The fruit and green peas make the flavour a bit sweeter, add more lemon if needed or more ginger if you want it a bit stronger. Kale has a quite strong flavour so just start with smaller amounts if you feel its a bit too strong or don’t use if you don’t like the flavour.

Enjoy !
